Jordan's King Abdullah II reiterated his country's unwavering opposition to the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank during a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday.
The king emphasized that Jordan's stance aligns with the unified Arab position, rejecting any forced relocation of Palestinians.
"I reaffirmed Jordan's firm stance against the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. This is the unified Arab position," King Abdullah stated after the meeting. "Rebuilding Gaza without displacing its people and addressing the dire humanitarian situation must be a priority for all."
The king also highlighted the need to de-escalate tensions in the West Bank, warning that continued unrest could have serious consequences for the region. He stressed that a just peace, based on a two-state solution, remains the only viable path to achieving stability.
"We will continue to play an active role with our partners to achieve a just and comprehensive peace for all," King Abdullah affirmed.
The meeting comes amid ongoing concerns over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and escalating tensions in the West Bank, with Jordan positioning itself as a key advocate for Palestinian rights and regional stability. (ILKHA)
