The Palestinian health ministry on Sunday reported seven new deaths associated with COVID-11 (coronavirus), 533 new positive tests and 740 recoveries in the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report, seven of the new victims who died of the virus are from different areas of the West Bank, three others from Gaza and one from Jerusalem.
71 critically ill COVID-19 patients are also receiving intensive care in hospitals and 18 of them have been placed on ventilators.
93.4 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease, while the rate of active cases has reached 5.5 percent and the rate of deaths is 1.1 percent of the total cases, according to data updated today by the ministry. (ILKHA)
