Qassem: U.S. fully complicit in Israel’s crimes against humanity

Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, Sheikh Naim Qassem, declared on Friday that Israel has reached the “peak of criminality and savagery,” accusing it of violating every human, legal, and international norm with the full backing of the United States.
Speaking during a televised address, Qassem said that the entire region is at a dangerous crossroads following Israel’s recent strike in Qatar, stressing that this escalation marks a new phase in the confrontation with the occupation.
“Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has openly declared his aim to establish ‘Greater Israel’ and reshape the Middle East to fit his vision. This threat cannot be ignored,” Qassem warned.
He urged all Arab and Muslim nations, along with free peoples worldwide, to stand united against Israel’s expansionist ambitions, saying: “We must reverse the narrative. Israel is the danger – not the resistance. The resistance’s weapons are aimed solely at the Israeli enemy, not at Lebanon or any other party in the world.”
Qassem also criticized Washington, accusing the United States of applying political and economic pressure on Lebanon instead of providing meaningful support. He called on the Lebanese people to unite in expelling the Israeli occupation and rebuilding the country’s sovereignty and strength.
“The resistance is ready to fulfill its duty alongside the Lebanese army. Whatever your decision is, we are with you – but we will confront the Israeli enemy,” he affirmed.
Qassem’s remarks come as the Israeli occupation forces continue targeting homes, cars, and motorcycles across southern Lebanon despite a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on November 27, 2025.
Under the terms of the deal, Israel was required to withdraw all its forces from southern Lebanon. However, sources confirm that Israeli forces remain entrenched at five border positions, heightening tensions and risking a resumption of full-scale hostilities.
Analysts warn that continued Israeli violations could further destabilize Lebanon and the wider region, making Qassem’s call for unity and resistance more urgent than ever. (ILKHA)
