Russia has achieved significant military gains in Ukraine's Donetsk region, following its recent twin victories in Kursk.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its Battlegroup Yug has "liberated" the town of Georgievka, located 30 kilometers west of Donetsk city. In addition, the Russian Southern Group has taken control of Heorhiivka.
According to the ministry, over 1,800 Ukrainian servicemen were reportedly "eliminated" within the past 24 hours, marking a substantial escalation in the conflict.
These developments signify a notable advancement in Russia's ongoing military operations in the region. The recent gains in Donetsk highlight the intensifying efforts by Russian forces to strengthen their control over key territories in eastern Ukraine. (ILKHA)
