Russian forces launch massive strike on Ukrainian drone launch sites in Zaporozhye
Russian forces have carried out a large-scale strike targeting Ukrainian long-range combat drone launch sites in the Zaporozhye region, according to local officials.
Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the Zaporozhye regional administration and head of the We Are With Russia movement, confirmed that the strikes hit facilities in the village of Belinkoye, located on the right bank of the region, which is under Ukrainian control.
“A massive strike was carried out on a long-range combat drone launch site belonging to the Ukrainian armed forces in the village of Belinkoye,” Rogov told Sputnik. “From there, drones were launched to carry out attacks on the newly formed entities of the Russian Federation, the Crimean Peninsula, the Rostov region, the Krasnodar territory, and other areas of Russia.”
According to Rogov, the Russian strikes targeted positions of Ukrainian military personnel, storage areas for attack drones, and ammunition depots.
“The enemy suffered heavy human losses, and experienced drone operators were eliminated. More than twenty drones were also destroyed,” he added.
The reported operation follows a series of intensified drone exchanges between Russia and Ukraine in recent weeks, with both sides claiming to have neutralized enemy drone infrastructure. The Zaporozhye front remains one of the most active and strategically significant sectors in the ongoing conflict, as both sides continue to contest control of key territories along the Dnipro River corridor.
