Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Wednesday called for urgent international support for Gaza and Lebanon during the 21st Meeting of the D-8 Council of Foreign Ministers in Cairo.
Fidan condemned Israel's actions in Gaza, highlighting the devastating humanitarian crisis and the urgent need for assistance. He reiterated Turkey's commitment to supporting its "brothers" in the region and offered its resources and expertise to aid in the recovery efforts.
Fidan emphasized the importance of regional solidarity and cooperation among D-8 member states to address common challenges and promote stability in the Middle East. He also stressed the need to counter Israel's aggression against D-8 members, particularly Egypt and Iran.
The Foreign Minister highlighted the potential of the D-8 organization and called for increased cooperation among member states to harness their collective strength. He emphasized the role of young people and the importance of technological advancement in fostering innovation and development within the D-8 bloc.
