President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan at the Turkish House during the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations between Türkiye and Pakistan, as well as addressing key regional and global issues.
President Erdoğan emphasized the commitment to strengthen cooperation in various fields, particularly in the defense industry and economy. “We will continue to take mutual steps to develop relations between Türkiye and Pakistan,” he said.
In light of ongoing conflicts, Erdoğan highlighted the importance of enhancing efforts to halt Israeli attacks in Gaza. He reiterated Türkiye’s dedication to increasing initiatives aimed at achieving a permanent ceasefire, fostering peace, and delivering urgent humanitarian aid to Palestinians in need. (ILKHA)
