Two people were killed and five others injured early Monday in southern Lebanon after an Israeli drone targeted a car and a motorcycle.
According to Lebanese media outlets, the drone first struck a car traveling between the towns of Mays al-Jabal and Chaqra, resulting in two injuries. The second attack targeted a motorcycle near Dubayeh Castle on the Mays al-Jabal–Chaqra road, leading to two fatalities and three additional injuries. Among the injured is a child who is reported to be in critical condition.
Emergency teams transported the injured to Tebnine Governmental Hospital for treatment.
As of now, there has been no response from the Israeli authorities regarding the incident.
The attack comes amid rising tensions and fears of a potential full-scale war between Israel and Hezbollah, following a series of cross-border exchanges. This escalation occurs against the backdrop of an ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza, which has resulted in the deaths of over 39,300 people since last October following an operation by the Palestinian resistance group Hamas.
