An Israeli airstrike on Sunday killed five Palestinians and injured seven others near the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) headquarters in Gaza City, according to local reports.
According to local sources, an Israeli warplane targeted the guard room at the main eastern gate of the UNRWA headquarters in the Tal al-Hawa area, southwest of Gaza City. The attack resulted in five fatalities, with some victims being dismembered, and seven injuries, including children and women. The injured were transported to Baptist Hospital in Gaza City.
This incident is part of the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, 2023. The conflict has led to the deaths of more than 37,551 Palestinians and injuries to 85,911 others. The casualty numbers continue to rise as thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble.
