UNRWA has accused Israel of persisting in targeting women in its attacks on the Gaza Strip.
“The war in Gaza continues to be a war on women,” UNRWA said in a statement posted on its social media platform X, adding that more than 10,000 women have been killed and 19,000 others injured in the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza.
“37 children lose their mother every single day,” UNRWA added.
Living conditions are particularly “appalling” for more than 155,000 pregnant or breastfeeding women in Gaza, who are facing extreme difficulty in accessing water and sanitary items, the agency said. (ILKHA)
