US-British forces on Monday conducted a series of airstrikes on various locations in western Yemen.
The attacks targeted Hodeidah Airport and Kamran Island in the Red Sea, intensifying ongoing aggression in the region.
Local sources reported that six airstrikes were launched on Hodeidah Airport, situated south of the coastal city on the Red Sea. Additionally, four airstrikes targeted Kamran Island, located west of Yemen in the Red Sea.
These recent attacks are part of a broader pattern of aggression by US-British forces against several Yemeni provinces. This military activity coincides with operations by the Yemeni Armed Forces against Israeli and Israeli-bound ships, undertaken in solidarity with Gaza amidst the ongoing conflict there.
In early June, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, leader of the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement, reiterated Yemen's unwavering support for Gaza, stating that the joint American-British aggression would not alter Yemen's commitment to this cause.
He accused the US and Britain of protecting Zionist interests at sea to enable the continuation of what he described as genocide against the Palestinian people without interference.
The strikes have drawn sharp criticism and heightened tensions in the region, further complicating the humanitarian and political landscape in Yemen, which has been embroiled in conflict for years. (ILKHA)
