The World Food Programme (WFP) has raised alarm over the escalating hunger crisis in Gaza, stating that food scarcity has reached critical levels.
"Hunger is everywhere in Gaza," the WFP announced, highlighting the dire situation in the region. The organization reported that it has only managed to deliver about one-third of the food required to meet the needs of the affected population.
In a statement shared on its official X account, the WFP reiterated its urgent appeal for safe and sustained access to Gaza, as well as the restoration of law and order to facilitate relief efforts.
"A ceasefire is needed more than ever," the organization emphasized, underlining the importance of halting hostilities to address the mounting humanitarian crisis.
The WFP's call comes amid growing international concern over the worsening conditions in Gaza, where millions are struggling with hunger and limited access to basic necessities. (ILKHA)
