Yemeni Armed Forces strike Israeli targets with hypersonic missile in support of Gaza

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Friday that their missile and drone units carried out a powerful military operation targeting Lod Airport in occupied Jaffa with a new-generation hypersonic ballistic missile named “Palestine 2” alongside two drones.
In an official statement, Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree confirmed that the missile successfully bypassed Israel’s highly touted interception systems and struck its intended target, causing widespread disruption within the occupation entity. The strike reportedly forced millions of settlers into shelters, halted airport operations, and shook the confidence of the Zionist regime’s air defenses.
Saree explained that the Air Force carried out two additional drone operations, striking Israeli military and vital sites in Jaffa and Ashkelon. Both attacks, he said, “achieved their objectives,” underscoring Yemen’s growing ability to penetrate the enemy’s defenses despite Israel’s multi-layered air shield.
“The operation was carried out in victory for the oppressed Palestinian people and their heroic resistance, and in response to the ongoing Zionist crimes of genocide and starvation against our people in Gaza,” Saree declared. He reaffirmed that Yemen, “with its loyal people, its fighting army, and its faithful leadership, stands firmly by the Palestinian people until the aggression ends and the siege is lifted.” He praised Palestinian steadfastness as a model of courage and sacrifice in confronting one of the world’s most heavily armed occupiers.
Israeli forces acknowledged that a missile was launched from Yemen toward occupied Palestine, triggering sirens across al-Quds and central areas. Israeli media admitted that airspace over Ben Gurion Airport had to be temporarily closed, reflecting the scale of disruption caused by the Yemeni strike.
Channel 12 reported that the Yemeni missile fragmented during its trajectory, either by design or under stress, complicating interception attempts. Military analysts suggested that this could represent an advanced warhead separation mechanism or a system for releasing submunitions, which produces multiple radar signatures and overwhelms Israel’s defenses. In either case, the Zionist army was forced to scramble between real warheads, decoys, and debris — a clear indication of the effectiveness of Yemen’s evolving missile technology.
Expanding Yemeni Operations in Support of Gaza
This latest operation marks another chapter in Yemen’s ongoing campaign of solidarity with Gaza. Beyond missile and drone attacks, the Yemeni Armed Forces have enforced a naval blockade on Israeli ports, striking at the regime’s economic and strategic arteries. Yemeni commanders have pledged that such operations will continue until the siege on Gaza is lifted and Israel’s aggression comes to an end.
Earlier this week, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, leader of Ansar Allah, reiterated Yemen’s unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause. In his weekly address, he condemned what he called “the crime of the century” — Israel’s systematic starvation and bombardment of Gaza’s civilian population. He warned that hundreds of thousands of Palestinian children are facing death from famine due to Israel’s brutal blockade, and denounced Zionist schemes targeting al-Quds and al-Aqsa Mosque.
Al-Houthi described Yemen’s operations — whether missile strikes, drone raids, or naval blockades — as part of a broader resistance front that extends from Palestine to Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq, and beyond. He stressed that such actions are not merely retaliatory but serve as a deterrent to the Zionist entity’s continued crimes.
The Yemeni operation demonstrates once again that the resistance axis is increasingly coordinated, capable of challenging Israeli military superiority across multiple arenas. As Gaza suffers under relentless bombardment, famine, and siege, Yemen’s strikes send a clear message: the crimes of genocide and starvation will not go unanswered.
With each missile launched, Yemen underlines that Palestine is not alone. From Sana’a to Gaza City, from Beirut to al-Quds, the resistance is uniting its efforts to break the siege and confront the occupation until freedom and justice are achieved for the Palestinian people. (ILKHA)
