The consumer confidence index in Turkey saw a marginal decline in January, registering at 81.0, according to a statement released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Thursday.
The index, which is calculated from the consumer tendency survey conducted jointly by the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye, reflects a 0.4% decrease from December’s figure of 81.3.
The survey measures consumer sentiment about the overall economic situation, personal financial conditions, and spending intentions, serving as an important indicator of economic confidence in the country.
Further analysis of the results and contributing factors to the slight dip in confidence are expected to be released in subsequent reports. (ILKHA)
