Türkiye’s construction sector grows by 14.4% annually in December

Türkiye’s construction sector recorded a 14.4% annual increase in December 2024, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) on Friday.
A breakdown of the construction subsectors for December 2024 revealed that the construction of buildings index rose by 17.6%, the civil engineering index by 11.1%, and the specialized construction activities index by 6.2% compared to the same month in the previous year.
Additionally, production in the construction sector increased by 6.7% in December 2024 compared to the previous month. Examining the subsectors, the construction of buildings index increased by 7.6%, the civil engineering index by 0.5%, and the specialized construction activities index by 8.0%.
