Türkiye’s construction sector sees 15.5% annual growth in January

Türkiye’s construction sector recorded a 15.5% annual increase in January 2025, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) on Friday.
The sector's growth was driven by a strong performance across various subsectors. The construction of buildings index rose by 18.2% compared to the same month last year, while the civil engineering index saw a 12.3% increase. Additionally, specialized construction activities experienced an 8.5% rise.
On a monthly basis, production in construction grew by 5.5% in January compared to December 2024. The construction of buildings index increased by 5.0%, the civil engineering index rose by 2.0%, and specialized construction activities surged by 9.9%. (ILKHA)
