Türkiye’s consumer confidence index edges up slightly in June

Türkiye’s consumer confidence index rose marginally in June, according to data released Friday by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).
The index, which reflects consumers’ sentiment about the general economic situation and their own financial outlook, increased by 0.3% from the previous month, reaching 85.1 in June, up from 84.8 in May.
The figure was derived from the Consumer Tendency Survey, conducted jointly by TurkStat and the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye. The slight uptick suggests a modest improvement in consumer optimism regarding future economic conditions.
The index remains below the neutral threshold of 100, indicating continued consumer pessimism, though the rise may signal cautious hope amid ongoing economic adjustments. (ILKHA)
