The Turkish Statistical Institute reported on Thursday that chicken meat production in Türkiye was 214,116 tonnes, while hen egg production reached 1.83 billion units in September.
In comparison to the same month last year, September saw a 4.1% increase in hen egg production, a 10.0% rise in the number of slaughtered chickens, an 11.8% increase in chicken meat production, and a 16.7% boost in turkey meat production.
For the period from January to September, there was a 4.8% increase in hen egg production, a 6.9% rise in the number of slaughtered chickens, a 6.3% increase in chicken meat production, and a significant 17.1% increase in turkey meat production compared to the same period last year.
However, chicken meat production experienced a slight month-on-month decrease of 0.1%, falling from 214,432 tonnes in August to 214,116 tonnes in September.
Hen egg production saw a monthly increase of 1.1%, rising from 1.808 billion units in August to 1.828 billion units in September. (ILKHA)
