Turkish Coast Guard teams apprehended 131 irregular migrants attempting to reach Greece in rubber boats on Tuesday.
Coast Guard radars identified three separate vessels headed towards Lesbos Island, Greece, off the Ayvalık coast.
Following deployment, Coast Guard units apprehended all 131 migrants, including 63 children.
The migrants were transported to Cunda Island, where they received humanitarian aid like food, drinks, medical supplies, and medicine. They were then transferred to the Provincial Migration Administration. (ILKHA)
