Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a phone conversation on Wednesday.
The two leaders focused on strengthening bilateral ties between Türkiye and Uzbekistan as well as addressing regional and global concerns, according a statement from Turkish presidency.
During the call, President Erdoğan expressed optimism that the relationship between the two nations will advance to a higher level, both in direct interactions and within multilateral forums, notably the Organization of Turkic States.
In addition to discussing diplomatic matters, President Erdoğan extended his congratulations to President Mirziyoyev on his birthday. (ILKHA)
