Erdoğan: We will achieve brotherhood and peace

At the 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress of the Justice and Development (AK) Party in Şanlıurfa, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a robust speech focusing on national unity, the fight against terrorism, and regional solidarity.
Erdoğan emphasized a vision of unity for Türkiye's 85 million people, stating: "We reject the separation of our nation on the basis of origin, the division based on beliefs, and the otherization of our citizens based on their lifestyle. We are trying to bring together all our people on the same common ground without excluding, neglecting, or offending anyone."
The President highlighted the interconnected joy and victory between Türkiye and Syria, particularly noting, "The victory of our Syrian brothers and sisters is also our victory as their neighbors." He spoke of the shared history and future among Turks, Arabs, Kurds, and Turkmens, reinforcing the notion of a collective identity.
Erdoğan was firm on the issue of terrorism, declaring that the "shelf life" of using terror as a political tool has expired. He criticized the ongoing activities of separatist groups, asserting: "The separatist organization has no choice but to dissolve itself," underscoring that terror and democracy are incompatible.
Turning to local issues, Erdoğan outlined significant infrastructural developments in Şanlıurfa, including new highways and railway projects aimed at enhancing connectivity and boosting the region's logistics capabilities. He mentioned the completion of the Ankara-Niğde Highway and plans for new road and rail connections, such as the Şanlıurfa-Mardin High-Speed Railway.
Erdoğan expressed optimism about a growing consensus among political parties against terrorism, aiming for a peaceful and prosperous Türkiye. He warned against foreign interventions and reaffirmed Türkiye's commitment to thwarting any attempts to disrupt national unity. "If you have a plan, we also have a plan," he stated, addressing external forces.
The speech in Şanlıurfa not only reaffirmed the AK Party's commitment to national unity and development but also served as a platform for Erdoğan to assert Türkiye's stance on regional issues and its resolve against terrorism.
This has been a report from Şanlıurfa, where the call for unity and development was met with enthusiasm by the local party members and attendees. (ILKHA)
