A program was held in Istanbul for the 5th anniversary of the massacre called 'Rabia' committed after the overthrown of the election of Egypt's first President, Mohammad Morsi.
Five years have passed since the massacre of 'Rabia', which was carried out by soldiers and police officers under the command of the Sisi coup d'état in Egypt. Due to the anniversary of the massacre, Envar Al-Qur'an Foundation organized a commemoration program in Istanbul.
Many prominent figures from the Egyptian authorities, scholars, former deputies, attended the program held in Istanbul Fatih.
Abdulrahman Fethi Mohammed, a program organizer, who spoke to ILKHA's correspondent on the subject, stated that he himself participated to the demonstrations to protect the legitimacy of Mohammad Morsi and overthrow the military junta in Egypt.
"5 years after the massacre, we are still standing," said Mohammad Fethi. "We want to draw attention to this hope of the ummah and of all the young people everywhere who are the fuel of this revolution. Despite all killings, executions, judicial dismissals and arrests, young people are the best example of staying strong and sticking to their firsts. Despite all the hardships and expensive; martyrs and detained families are still standing. This shows that the awakening of the people depends on the awakening of the youth. Five years later, when young people were observed, it became clear that the young people will return, they will return and they will keep this ummah on its feet. They will turn and substitute victory. Revolution will fall; the military government, which burn down the country for the last sixty years, will fall. A new era will begin in freedom, justice, and development in Egypt." (ILKHA)
