Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, the Chairman of HÜDA PAR, recently attended a memorial service in Istanbul for Abdülmecid Zindani, the late President of the Yemeni Scholars Assembly.
Yapıcıoğlu, who journeyed from Ankara to Istanbul for the event, first paid his respects at the memorial service for Hasan Kılıç, the former leader of the İsmailağa Community, before attending Zindani's memorial.
Joined by his party's deputy chairmen, Abdullah Aslan and Mehmet Eşin, as well as HÜDA PAR Mersin Deputy Faruk Dinç and Provincial Chairman İsa Güvendik, Yapıcıoğlu expressed his condolences at both events. At the memorial held in Başakşehir, he offered his sympathies to Zindani's family and colleagues.
In his speech, Yapıcıoğlu likened the death of a scholar to the death of the world, emphasizing the loss of a valuable scholar. He prayed for Allah to grant Zindani paradise and elevate his status, and for patience to those he left behind.
Yapıcıoğlu underscored the significance of scholars in the Islamic World, stating that their wisdom continues to benefit the entire Muslim community. He also pointed out the crucial role of scholars in addressing the current situation in Gaza, noting that the circumstances in Gaza today demonstrate that scholars have even greater responsibilities.
Yapıcıoğlu concluded his remarks by calling for unity among Muslims. He prayed for Allah to unite all Muslims, the followers of Muhammad (PBUH), to end their divisions, and to allow them to pray together in the liberated Al-Aqsa Mosque. He wished for Allah's pleasure and mercy on their Sheikh and a good life for those he left behind. (ILKHA)
