HÜDA PAR MP slams silence of Islamic leaders amid Gaza genocide

HÜDA PAR Mersin Deputy Faruk Dinç on Friday visited Sheikh Muhammed Yıldızhan, a prominent opinion leader in Osmaniye, as part of his engagements in the province.
The visit underscored the ongoing global outcry over Israel's genocidal assault on Gaza, with Dinç calling for unified action from Muslim leaders.
Dinç began his Osmaniye trip with the visit to Sheikh Yıldızhan, a revered figure known for his religious scholarship and community guidance. The two discussed critical regional and international issues, particularly the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Highlighting the role of scholars and elders, Dinç stated: “The peace and cohesion of society are safeguarded by our elders—people of knowledge, wisdom, and principle. Their contributions must be valued and supported.”
Dinç sharply criticized the inaction of many Islamic governments amid the Gaza crisis, declaring: “The silence of Islamic leaders as women and children are slaughtered daily in Gaza burdens the conscience of the ummah. This silence deepens the pain of the oppressed. Collective action is urgently needed.”
The visit concluded with mutual prayers for Muslim unity and Palestine’s liberation, reinforcing the call for moral leadership and solidarity against global injustice. (ILKHA)
