IED planted into garden by PKK/YPG injures two children in Tal Abyad, Turkish Defense Ministry said.

Tal Abyad citizen Zekiye el Yasin who sought refuge in Turkey in order to escape PKK/YPG persecution has returned to her home in Tal Abyad with her children after "Operation Peace Spring".

While 12-year-old Iyed Bahtani and 10-year-old sibling Rines Bahtani were playing in the front yard of their home they just newly returned to, when an IED planted in the ground by PKK/YPG members detonated in their yard.

Unfortunately, 12-year-old Iyed's leg could not be saved. The mother Zekiye el Yasin showed discontent with the PKK/YPG, saying "May God curse the YPG. Let the whole world and all people hear our voice that YPG was the reason my beloved son's leg was amputated. We ask the entire world and all the governments to remove them. We don't want them. If they stay, such things will repeat."

Thanking the Turkish soldiers, the sorrowful mother said "there are so many mines all across our country, the Turkish soldiers can't keep up with removing them all. We do not want the YPG to come to our lands ever again. The YPG should be banished from Syria. Let the whole world hear this. This child whose leg was amputated is an orphan. He has no one else apart from me." (ILKHA)
