Magnitude 4.6 earthquake shakes southern Türkiye

A magnitude 4.6 earthquake struck the Kozan district in Türkiye's southern Adana province early Wednesday morning.
The tremor occurred at approximately 05:32 TSI, with an epicenter located at a latitude of 37.63694 degrees north and a longitude of 35.8925 degrees east, at a depth of 7.06 km, according to Türkiye’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD).
The earthquake was felt in several nearby provinces, including Gaziantep, Kilis, Niğde, Kahramanmaraş, and Kayseri. Despite the widespread tremors, there were no immediate reports of casualties or significant damage.
AFAD announced that teams have been dispatched to the affected areas to assess the situation and potential damage. Further updates are expected as assessments continue. (ILKHA)
