Mother Hatice Ceylan, who had just joined the sit-in protest in Diyarbakir, said her son has been kidnapped by the PKK while he was memorizing the Holy Qur'an.

Another family joined that 36th day of the sit-in protest of families outside the HDP office in Diyarbakir, claiming the HDP kidnapped their children to the rural areas controlled by the PKK. Thus, the number of families in the action increased to 54.

Mother Hatice Ceylan, whose son Cafer Ceylan was abducted on December 29, 2015, when he was 15, said her only wish is her son to come back.

"My son was studying on the Holy Qur'an, memorized 10 parts of the Qur'an and then was kidnapped 2 weeks later," said mother Ceylan.

Saying that her son Cafer made a phone call a year and a half ago, mother Ceylan added that her son didn't talk much. "He was waiting for us to talk, we asked, 'Where is your place?' he didn’t say, there were others with him."

"We want the HDP to give us our son, we have no further demands. This is the first time we've come to the front of a party. My son said he was in Syria but didn’t say where exactly he was," she said.

Saying that HDP shouldn’t claim their son, painful mother said, "He's not their child, he's our child. They're using our son as a prisoner. Our son is not their slave. If they want to recruit some children, then they should send their own children."

"If he can hear us if he's watching us, our door is open to him. He's everything to us," mother Ceylan calling out to her son. (ILKHA)
