In a shocking incident on Saturday evening, a police officer opened fire on colleagues at the Altınşehir Police Station in southeastern Türkiye's Adıyaman Province.
Reports indicate the officer, allegedly experiencing a mental breakdown, used his service weapon to shoot at other officers, including a police chief, at around 8:00 pm.
Multiple officers, including the police chief, were wounded in the attack. Several of the injured were in serious condition and were transported to the Training and Research Hospital.
Tragically, two of the wounded police officers have reportedly died from their injuries.
A large crowd has gathered at the hospital. Authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident or the officer's motive. (ILKHA)
