Rize-Artvin airport witnesses surge in passenger traffic in April

Rize-Artvin Airport, managed by the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ) under the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, has reported a significant increase in passenger traffic in April 2024.
The airport served a total of 97,155 passengers in the month, marking a busy period for the transport hub. The data released by DHMİ reveals that the airport was a hive of activity with a total of 644 flights being operated. This included 641 domestic flights and 3 international flights, highlighting the airport's crucial role in both local and global travel.
The airport's services were utilized by a large number of passengers, with the same number, 97,155, benefiting from its facilities during this period. This underscores the airport's capacity to handle high volumes of passenger traffic efficiently.
In addition to passenger traffic, Rize-Artvin Airport also handled a substantial amount of baggage and cargo. A whopping 720 tons of domestic and international baggage and cargo were transported from the airport, demonstrating its pivotal role in goods transportation.
