President Erdoğan to Attend Turkic States Summit in Budapest on May 21

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is set to travel to Hungary on May 21 to participate in the Informal Summit of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), which will take place in Budapest.
The summit, held under the theme “Meeting Point of East and West,” will focus on efforts to further strengthen the institutional framework of the OTS. Leaders are expected to review ongoing initiatives aimed at deepening cooperation among member states, with several key documents and decisions—including the Budapest Declaration—anticipated to be adopted during the event.
President Erdoğan is scheduled to attend the OTS Heads of State Council Meeting and will also hold bilateral talks with fellow leaders on the sidelines of the summit. These meetings are expected to address a range of regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The Organization of Turkic States, which brings together countries with shared cultural and linguistic ties, has been increasingly active in promoting political, economic, and strategic cooperation across the Turkic world. (ILKHA)
