Deputy White House press secretary Judd Deere told reporters that the U.S. President Donald Trump had spoken by phone with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Saturday.
"President Trump expressed concern over the violence in Idlib, Syria, and thanked President Erdogan for Turkey’s efforts to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe," Deere stated.
According to Turkish presidency website, the two leaders discussed a range of bilateral issues and regional developments.
They also underlined the importance of restoring peace and stability in Libya, Turkey’s maritime neighbor. (ILKHA)
