Turkey has reported 17 new deaths from coronavirus, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 5,419.
In a statement posted on his Twitter account, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca shared the latest official coronavirus figures in the country on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 215,940, after 947 more people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours.
197,733 people have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.
While 1,206 patients are in critical condition, there are some 401 patients who are mechanically ventilated.
4,107,498 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
