79 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in Turkey, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 356, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said in statement on Twitter on Thursday.
“It is remarkable that 82% of the patients we have lost in the last 24 hours are people over the age of 60,” Koca said.
“2,456 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours,” he added.
82 patients were discharged from hospital after being cured.
The total number of infected people has reached 18,135 in the country.
The total number of tests performed so far were 110,000. (ILKHA)
