The Turkish Ministry of Defence announced on Friday that 20 PKK/YPG members were neutralized in operations conductedin Operation Euphrates Shield zone in northern Syria.
In a statement, the Ministry emphasized its commitment to combating illegal armed groups, declaring: "Terrorists cannot and will not escape the end that awaits them! Our heroic Turkish Armed Forces neutralized 20 PKK/YPG terrorists identified in the Euphrates Shield region and northern Syria. Our fight against terrorist organizations, wherever they are, will continue until the last terrorist is neutralized!"
The Euphrates Shield region, established as part of Türkiye's 2016 cross-border operation, has been a focal point of Türkiye's efforts to eliminate threats from armed organizations and ensure border security.
This latest operation underscores Türkiye's ongoing resolve to combat terrorism in the region, with the Defence Ministry reiterating its stance to continue its operations "wherever terrorists may be found." (ILKHA)
