The Turkish Coast Guard has intercepted and rescued 149 irregular migrants in four separate incidents in the Aegean Sea.
The migrants were reportedly pushed back into Turkish territorial waters by Greek authorities.
The rescue operations took place off the coasts of Dikili and Karaburun districts in Izmir province, as well as Ortaca district in Muğla province.
Among the rescued migrants, one person required medical attention and was evacuated.
All 149 migrants have been transferred to the provincial migration management authorities for further processing.
This incident marks yet another instance of alleged pushbacks by Greek authorities, a practice that has been widely condemned by Turkey and human rights organizations. (ILKHA)
