Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas at the Presidential Complex to discuss the ongoing Israeli massacres in Palestinian territories and the steps necessary for establishing a permanent ceasefire and lasting peace.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan reiterated Türkiye's unwavering support for Palestine's just cause, emphasizing that Türkiye will continue to work towards halting Israeli aggression and increasing international pressure on Israel. He condemned Israel's ongoing attacks on civilians, including children, and the displacement of innocent Palestinians, as well as strikes on schools, hospitals, and civilian shelters. Erdoğan also criticized the silence and continued support of some Western countries in the face of these atrocities.
Erdoğan called on the international community, especially the Islamic world, to intensify efforts to secure an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and ensure the continuous delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.
The Turkish President also expressed his satisfaction that President Abbas will address the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye tomorrow, signaling the importance of ongoing dialogue and cooperation between the two nations. (ILKHA)
