The Turkish Coast Guard has rescued 234 irregular migrants, including 118 children, who were pushed back by Greek authorities.
In four separate incidents off the coast of Izmir, the Coast Guard received reports of migrants in distress. Teams were immediately dispatched to the area and successfully rescued the migrants from rubber boats and the shoreline.
After the rescue operation, the migrants were handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management for further processing. This incident highlights the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the Aegean Sea, with Turkey frequently rescuing migrants pushed back by Greek authorities. (ILKHA)
