Turkish Coast Guard rescues 30 migrants pushed back by Greece

The Turkish Coast Guard rescued 30 irregular migrants, including three children, from two life rafts stranded off the coast of Kuşadası in Aydın province on Tuesday.
The operation unfolded after authorities received reports of migrants adrift in Turkish territorial waters, where they had been pushed back by Greece.
The Coast Guard Ship TCSG-311 swiftly mobilized, locating the rafts and safely bringing all 30 individuals aboard. The rescued migrants were processed by the Coast Guard teams and subsequently handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management for further handling.
This incident highlights ongoing tensions in the region over the treatment of migrants crossing between Turkey and Greece, with Turkish officials frequently accusing Greek authorities of illegal pushbacks into Turkish waters. (ILKHA)
