Turkish Coast Guard teams have successfully rescued 51 irregular migrants, including 19 children, off the coast of Muğla in southwestern Türkiye.
According to the Turkish Coast Guard Command, a fiber boat carrying irregular migrants encountered engine trouble and was drifting near Bodrum. Responding to a distress call, the Coast Guard rescued 15 individuals from the boat.
In a separate incident, 17 irregular migrants were pushed back into Turkish waters by Greek authorities. A Coast Guard boat intercepted the rubber boat and rescued all 17 individuals, including 19 children.
All rescued migrants were transferred to the local migration management office for further processing. (ILKHA)
