The Turkish Coast Guard rescued 36 migrants, including 2 children, in an operation off the coast of Dikili district on March 25th.
According to the Coast Guard Command, they received a tip regarding a group of migrants in life rafts near Dikili. Dispatching teams to the area, the Coast Guard successfully rescued all 36 individuals, including the 2 children.
Authorities determined that the migrants had been pushed back into Turkish territorial waters by Greek forces. Following standard procedures, the rescued migrants were transferred to the Izmir Provincial Directorate of Migration Management Removal Center. (ILKHA)
