The Turkish Defense Ministry announced on Monday that a total of six members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and its Syrian affiliate, the People's Protection Units (YPG), were neutralized in operations conducted in northern Iraq and Syria.
According to the ministry's statement, four PKK members were identified and eliminated in the Gara region of northern Iraq, while two PKK/YPG members were killed in the Euphrates Shield region of northern Syria.
The Ministry emphasized that operations targeting terrorist elements will continue to ensure the safety and security of Türkiye's borders. These latest actions are part of Türkiye's ongoing efforts to combat the PKK/YPG, which it considers terrorist organizations. (ILKHA)
