Turkish security forces arrest 89 ISIS suspects in nationwide operations

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on Tuesday that 89 individuals suspected of ties to the terrorist organization ISIS were arrested in coordinated operations conducted across 17 provinces.
In a statement on X, Yerlikaya confirmed that anti-terror teams launched simultaneous raids in Antalya, Batman, Denizli, Elazığ, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Hatay, İstanbul, Kahramanmaraş, Kırıkkale, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye, Sakarya, Şanlıurfa, Van, and Yozgat.
"The operations targeted individuals who were determined to be actively involved in ISIS-related activities," Yerlikaya stated, adding that the Ministry will continue its determined struggle against terrorist elements threatening national security.
Minister Yerlikaya emphasized that Türkiye remains resolute in its fight against terrorism and will not allow any group to undermine public safety or national unity. The operations are part of Türkiye’s broader counter-terrorism strategy, which includes surveillance, intelligence sharing, and coordinated security action.
