Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz expresses hopes for local election results

Following the conclusion of the local elections, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz has issued a written statement expressing his wishes for the outcomes to be beneficial for the nation.
Yılmaz emphasized the importance of the democratic process and its role in shaping the future of Türkiye.
In his statement, Yılmaz stated: "Türkiye has held the Local Administrations Elections in a manner befitting its democracy. I wish that the results, which were formed by the will of our citizens, will be beneficial to our country, our nation, and our cities." He underscored the significance of the upcoming period, which will be free from elections for over four years, highlighting its importance in achieving higher targets in democracy and development.
Despite global economic challenges and regional conflicts, Yılmaz noted that Türkiye maintains its strong structure and is focused on addressing internal and external challenges. He highlighted efforts to stimulate economic growth, boost employment, and enhance exports while reducing the current account deficit.
Fighting inflation remains a top priority for Türkiye, according to Yılmaz, who outlined measures to combat rising prices and ensure long-term economic stability. He also emphasized the importance of structural reforms in improving public administration, enhancing democratic standards, and strengthening the justice system.
Local election results show CHP leading in 35 cities
