Scores of people were killed or injured after an explosion on Istiklal Avenue in the historic Beyoğlu district of Istanbul on Sunday.
“Today, at around 16.20, an explosion occurred in Istiklal Street in Beyoğlu district. Police, ambulances, firefighters, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene. There are dead and injured. Developments will be shared with the public,” Istanbul’s Governor Ali Yerlikaya tweeted.
