Türkiye strongly condemns Israeli attacks in Syria

Türkiye’s Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned Israel’s recent military operations in Syria, denouncing them as violations of the country’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
In a press statement issued Tuesday, the ministry said Israel’s operations—expanding in scope in recent months—“directly target efforts to establish stability and security in Syria and across our region.”
The statement stressed that such attacks must be brought to an immediate end and emphasized the importance of supporting the Syrian government’s efforts to restore peace and calm throughout the country.
“Türkiye will continue to support a vision for Syria that is in line with the legitimate aspirations of the Syrian people—one that is free from terrorism, secure, and preserves the country’s territorial integrity,” the ministry added.
The condemnation comes amid a surge in Israeli airstrikes across Syrian territory, which regional analysts say risk further destabilizing the war-torn country and undermining efforts at reconciliation and reconstruction. (ILKHA)
