Türkiye welcomes progress in Azerbaijan-Armenia peace talks

Ankara has hailed the recent advancements in peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, describing the commitment made in Washington on Friday as a significant step towards lasting peace in the South Caucasus.
In a statement, the Turkish Foreign Ministry expressed support for the progress achieved, noting that it comes at a critical time amid escalating global conflicts. The ministry praised the role of the US administration in facilitating the talks, which aim to foster regional stability and prosperity.
The statement highlighted the emergence of a "historic opportunity" for peace in the region, adding that Turkey will continue to back Azerbaijan’s efforts and contribute to the peace process.
