Sağlam: Silence on zionists' annexation plans 'treason'
HÜDA PAR Chairman İshak Sağlam said that keeping silent in the face of the israeli plans to annex parts of the occupied West Bank amounts to a treason.
Reminding that the statement of International Union for Muslim Scholar (IUMS) regarding the zionists' annexation plans, Sağlam said: "Last week some prominent scholars of Islamic World issued a very important call for Palestine. They said that remaining silent in the face of the israeli plans to annex parts of the occupied West Bank amounts to a treason. They stated that if the zionists' annexation plans were implemented, there would be no respect for international organizations such as the United Nations throughout the world. They also called on UN agencies and other international organization take a sincere stand against this obvious violation of all international values and laws."
"Islamic World should not keep silent against the annexation"
Underlining that Islamic World should take action on Palestine issue, Sağlam continued his remarks as follows: "Muslim scholars also called on Islamic countries to terminate all agreements with the occupation regime, which does not recognize international laws and does not understand any other language than the struggle. They pointed out that normalization with zionist regime and the abandonment of even a little part of occupied Palestinian Territories are a crime against the rights of generations of Muslims. The Islamic World should not stand by this invasion and pillage any longer. The addressee of the call of Islamic scholars is all Muslims and humanity in the world. The Ummah should comply with the requirements of the call and take action on Palestine issue." (ILKHA)
