Afghan Deputy PM meets with Turkish charity representatives
Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of Afghanistan, met with representatives from two leading Turkish charitable organizations, the Hayrat Foundation and the İHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation.
The meeting, reported by ARG, focused on the current situation in Afghanistan. Mehmet Übeyd Koşger, representing Hayrat, and Ali Şenel, representing İHH, expressed their satisfaction with the improved security situation and the development of economic opportunities. They also provided an update on their ongoing charitable activities within the country.
The representatives reaffirmed Turkey's commitment to supporting the Afghan people, highlighting their efforts in providing aid to refugees, victims of earthquakes and floods, and those in need. They further announced plans to distribute sacrificial meat during the upcoming Eid al-Adha celebrations.
Deputy PM Hanafi expressed his appreciation for the continued humanitarian assistance provided by Turkey. He acknowledged the strong historical, cultural, and religious ties between Afghanistan and Turkey, emphasizing the enduring friendly relations between the two nations.
Hanafi concluded the meeting by extending a warm welcome to the initiatives undertaken by the Turkish charities and pledged the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's full support and facilitation for their humanitarian endeavors. (ILKHA)
