A high-level delegation from Afghanistan's Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), led by CEO Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, has arrived in Turkmenistan to discuss bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.
The Afghan delegation met with key Turkmen officials, including Dovletdurdy Elyasov, head of Turkmenistan's Electricity Company, and Murad Artikov, head of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) project.
During the discussions, both sides emphasized the importance of expanding economic relations between the two countries. Dr. Omar expressed gratitude for Turkmenistan's continued support to Afghanistan, particularly in the energy sector.
One of the main objectives of the visit is to finalize an electricity purchase agreement for 2025, ensuring a reliable supply of electricity to Afghanistan. (ILKHA)
