Al-Houthi: Yemeni resistance will not waver after PM’s martyrdom

The leader of Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement, Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi, delivered a powerful televised address condemning the recent Israeli airstrike on the Yemeni capital that martyred Prime Minister Ahmad al-Rahawi, several ministers, and other civilian officials.
Al-Houthi denounced the attack as a blatant war crime, stressing that those martyred were engaged in civilian and governmental service, not military activity. “The crime of targeting ministers and civilian workers adds to the Israeli enemy's criminal record in the region,” he said, offering heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs, their colleagues, and the Yemeni nation. He declared that this aggression would only deepen Yemen’s resolve and resistance.
Framing the strike as part of Israel’s wider regional assault, al-Houthi recalled its bloody history across West Asia: “This enemy's record is one of terrible and horrific crimes, killing the people of Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Iran.” He underscored that the targeting of Yemeni leaders fits into the same pattern of brutality and defiance of all international and ethical norms.
“This latest crime,” he said, “only reinforces why Yemen’s principled and moral stance against the Zionist entity is a duty grounded in humanity, values, and unshakable principles.”
Al-Houthi reaffirmed that the Yemeni struggle is not a political choice but a religious obligation and a matter of national honor. “Our people have taken this position as a jihad in the path of God and in pursuit of His pleasure,” he declared. “From day one, we committed ourselves to sacrifice for the sake of God. The true loss belongs to those who have surrendered to the enemy’s domination.”
He stressed that Yemen’s rejection of subjugation and its stand against “the Zionist project that targets the entire Ummah” is both a sacred duty and a strategic necessity.
Reiterating Yemen’s unwavering solidarity with Palestine, al-Houthi said: “Yemen's position towards the Palestinian people is firm and cannot be reversed. Our people say to the Palestinian people: We are with you and we support you.”
He emphasized that military operations against the Zionist entity—whether missile launches, drone strikes, or naval blockades—will continue as part of a comprehensive battle that also encompasses political, economic, media, and security fronts.
Al-Houthi praised the Yemeni people’s steadfastness despite relentless attacks, highlighting the vast mobilization across the country. “Our dear people—men, women, children, old and young—are taking a great stance with full awareness and deep faith,” he said.
He also commended Yemen’s security services for thwarting infiltration attempts and ensuring the safety of the home front, pointing to “very important successes” and promising that even greater achievements lie ahead.
Concluding his address, al-Houthi declared that Yemen stands proud and resolute in this historic battle: “The Yemeni people's position is very strong, sufficient in that they are at the height of their religious pride. Unlike others who have accepted humiliation, our people refuse to live in shame, weakness, and submission.”
The martyrdom of Prime Minister al-Rahawi and his colleagues, far from weakening Yemen, has instead underscored the resilience of a nation determined to resist Israeli aggression and uphold its role in the broader struggle for Palestine and the region. (ILKHA)
